This was a long distance award presentation; as the winner of the Ostomy Lifestyle Awards‘ Nurse of the Year category, Lindsey Morgan, had emigrated to Australia!

We were very happy to send the award onto Lindsey, who until recently was Stoma Care Nurse at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She sent us this photo back, saying “What fantastic news. It’s truly a great way to remember my time in the UK and all the wonderful patients who gave so much to me”.
The award criteria was: A nurse who gives outstanding individual attention, responds to the needs of patients families, demonstrates professional excellence and furthers the field of stoma care.
Judges comments about Lindsey included: “Compassionate and resourceful professional, making an extra effort in academic work”
