Would you like to get involved in developing new ostomy underwear and hernia support garments? Ever since the Underwear & Swimwear Show back in April this has been a hot topic, and lots of people and companies are keen to develop the sorts of clothes that you find useful.
We often get enquiries from companies developing new ostomy products, and right now one of them is looking for people to test their new ostomy underwear & support designs. This is an opportunity to make sure that other people affected by stoma surgery can get useful products, and also some free underwear for you
If you are interested, drop us a line via the website and we will get them to give you a call. If this is a success and we feel that it makes a positive difference, you will see us looking for more volunteers to conduct all sorts of ostomy related projects.

Hi Jane,
Thanks for getting in touch – I’ve just sent some information about the company making the ostomy underwear and the hernia support garments.
Hope you find it useful, and it should be very helpful in making more useful products available for the rest of us.

I have had a colostomy for 20 years and developed a peristomal hernia approximately 10 years ago.
I am a overweight female who would be interested in trying your hernia undergarments.
Please consider me in your study
Thank you

I have recently had an illeostomy operation and am having problems finding ‘High Cut’ Knickers. The sites I have visited do not show anything suitable as the stome is placed very high (just above the belly button) which causes the bag to sit above the waistline. Any solutions or companies you think could help?
Thank you
Yvonne

Hello,
Are still looking for people test/wear products of this nature? My mothers urostomy bag sits pretty high on her waist she has a tendency to have a lot of “faulty equipment” so to speak. It seems to come up with leaks where the bag connects to the flange. This happening quite frequently. I would like to help her find a remedy for this.
I think it’s more how the device hangs and its messed with due to the pull on her skin rather than the device since its the bottom side that tends to leak not the top.
I’m certain she would like to participate in something that helps make life work better for people like her that do not like to sit still, are go getters and do not like their lives to be put on hold due to a bag.
Thank you.
Tina
